Tea puppies are magical creatures living on the island Cyprus. They come in almost any body shape relating to dog breeds. They can live up to 200 years, and they have a sole purpose of delivering good luck to humans. They deliver tea to human households at night, and those who drink from it receive good luck. The tea puppy will continue to deliver tea to the home they're assigned until the human leaves the tea untouched. Some tea puppies develop a strong bond with their human assignments, and may be seen wearing trinkets from them. Tea puppies cannot mate with domesticated dogs.
There are two types of tea puppies, Common and Rare. Common tea puppies have small teacups anywhere on their body, and are usually traditional tea flavors or tea-related accessories. It is very rare for them to be untraditional flavors. If flipped in an appropriate position, the cup can contain tea. Rare tea puppies have one large tea cup on their head, and are artificial or made-up teas, or anything involving the word tea (Long island ice tea, boba milk tea, etc). Rares can have traditional flavor as well, but it's very unusual. Both types of tea puppies have leaves, flowers, or foods relating to their tea growing on them. It is not uncommon to see a tea bag wrapped around a part of their body either. There is only one flavor of tea for every tea puppy, however, there can be tea puppies with the same tea, but they can have milk, sugar, honey etc in the tea.  Both types of tea puppies have long, spoon shaped cartilage growing on or out of their tails. Eyes can be either open or closed. All types also have a large dot under the nose, this dot is ultra sensitive and has a strong aroma of the tea flavor the puppy possesses. The main distinction between male and female are the males' long, lion like manes, and their tusks. The tusks can be long, medium, or short, and can be shown as either and underbite or overbite (protruding down/up out of mouth). Tea puppies are omnivores, but they prefer to eat fruits and nuts over meat when given the chance.

Ears fav.me/d7h1roc
Tea puppy ears can come in many shapes and sizes. However, all ear types have 3 small tufts on the end of the ear. Most tea puppies have average hearing, except for those with fennec ears. Tea puppy ears are also used to show emotions, like fear and excitement.

Tails fav.me/d7h1rqq
The tail on the tea puppy can be one of the most functional body parts the species has. They can come in all shapes and sizes, and if strong or long enough, can lift or move things. Like the ears, the tails can be used to show emotions. The spoon-shaped cartilage on the tail will always grow back if damaged.

Nose Markings fav.me/d7hrcem
Tea puppies have a very good sense of smell, and have markings on the nose to help distinguish them from others. The mixed markings can have any other marking as dominant and smaller markings as well (I just used the round as an example!)

Reproduction fav.me/d7h1rwm
Tea puppies reproduce through a process called "clinking". Clinking occurs when a male and a female clink their cups together. Clinking is purely for mating, it cannot happen on accident. The males will crowd around the female of choice, putting their mouths near her nose so she can identify the males through scent. Once she has chosen her mate, she will lower the body part that contains her cup and the two tea puppies clink their cups. Once mated, a newborn will start to grow inside the female's cup. If the cup is not in an appropriate position, The cup will create a sac-like barrier to protect the embryo growing inside. If the cup is too small to provide for the embryo, the tea cup with stretch and return to normal after birthing. The mother's cup is very sensitive during the pregnancy, it becomes very soft and the male can become very protective of the mother and the newborns. Once ready to leave the cup, the newborn tea puppy will emerge and their tea cup will grow on their body as they mature. The mother can have 1-2 tea puppies at a time.  When the cup is starting to grow on the newborn, it is about as soft as an eggshell, once they mature around 10 years, the tea cup is strong as bone. Adult tea puppies can only mate once and they mate for life. Rares and commons can mate together; they usually either produce a rare or common newborn, but mutations are possible. If common and common/rare and rare mate, they must birth the type of tea puppy they are. In order to get a 50/50 chance of having a rare or common newborn, a rare and common tea puppy must mate. Mutations are possible through any form of mating.

Mutations fav.me/d7h1rsy
Mutations in the species usually occur every few generations, mostly between rare and common tea puppies. The mutated newborns can have up to 3 heads, they can have multiple cups and spoon cartilage. Despite the 3 heads, they are all one flavor, it can be traditional or artificial. Because they are mutated, they can have virtually any feature. They cannot mate with other tea puppies, and are infertile. Because of their mutation, they are not eligible to deliver tea to humans.

  Caffeine Devils by Ani-mato

Caffeine Devils

Caffeine Devils are a subspecies of tea puppies. They were created due to inbreeding of sweeter teas. Caffeine devils are flavors of tea with coffee, or flavors of different coffee. They are much larger than the average tea puppy, and have a body shape and temperament relating to African wild dogs. They vary in two different ear and tail types, rounded and fanned for the ears, and bushy and sleek for tails. They can have up to two sets of rock sugar horns and have a short mane entwined with rock sugars inside. Their strong rock sugar horns are only on their heads and entwined in the mane. They have strong jaws and are carnivores. There is no physical difference between the male and female. Caffeine devils are extremely territorial, and will fight using their horns. It is not uncommon to see them with only one horn or a broken horn. They cannot breed with tea puppies, and are considered dangerous and are outcasted from tea puppy societies. They usually inhabit the darker forests of Cyprus where the bigger game live.

The Tea Puppy community

Tea puppies live in groups and are very social. Few tea puppies like to live on their own, but they will almost always  come back to the community/society. Tea puppies are not a violent species, except towards caffeine devils, who when given the chance, will come down and try and eat the newborns. Tea puppies live with their mates and newborns, but solve problems as a group. Once an issue is known, the whole community knows and will help if possible.

Communication

Tea puppies communicate through yips and barks, and body language through the ears and tail. The tea cup on the tea puppy plays an important role in communication as well. If the tea cup is completely broken, the tea puppy loses its communication abilities and magic properties.

Intimacy

Although tea puppies can only mate once, they are still very intimate. Tea puppies show affection through nuzzles and smelling the dot under the nose. If a tea puppy pairing constantly sniffs each other, the community knows the couple has a very strong bond.

Fashion

Tea puppies are very cleanly species, and love to accessorize and groom themselves. Many tea puppies can be seen wearing necklaces, bows, ribbons, hats, glasses, etc. Some may even organize their plants, flowers or foods into fashionable looks. Tea puppies can wear virtually anything, and love trying new styles. Plenty of them love to have hairstyles as well.
